What is a Neutrino? Neutrinos are tiny and almost weightless particles. They don't interact by a gravity and nuclear decay. Neutrinos can't interact with light so they they can't be seen. A beam of Neutrinos will travel through lead for 2 years before it stops. Light slows down in water and if a neutrino with enough energy happens to knock into an electron. The electron will zip through water faster than the light does. When this happens the electron gives of a weak glow called cherenkov radiation which allows as to detect a neutrino. Neutrinos also tell us that the universe is not the same as its mirror image. Why doesn't a neutrino interact with light? We had to watch five videos from youtube about physics. On the video reflection we had to answer some questions. What science does the video teach? Why the science is significant? what questions did it raise? I had good time watching the videos and reflecting on them. My last video reflection was on Neutrino. I learned that Neutrinos are tiny and almost weightless particles. The most interesting fact I found out from the video is that neutrinos don't interact with Gravity. That make them hard to catch. The video helped me understand more about science. Text ReflectionsLove On the last socratic seminar for this semester we talked about love in a scientific way. Before i read the text I thought Love was some thing you feel about someone. I disagree with writer of the article There's No Such Thing as Everlasting Love ( According to Science) because love is not just the moments you share with someone. Love is who you want to share the moments with not who you share it with. love is something you feel about a person that can cause you to show affection. Writing the text reflection was the hardest thing for me in the class for the first couple of weeks. I hard time writing the reflection because I didn't completely understand the texts. We had to relate to the text or article when we did our reflections. I got used to writing the reflections and the more i did the easier it became. I believe that the best text reflection I did was on love. The article There's no Such Thing as Everlasting Love was very interesting. On the seminar everyone gave their opinions about. the seminar really helped with the reflection It helped me understand the text better. it also made me think about the author's point of view.
